Myboycharlie x Kali Smytzer 1 year old Bay Colt

Myboycharlie x Kali Smytzer

If you know your families then you will make this horse Yourboycharlie . I have been knocked out by the quality of the first crop by the sire and have been chasing one since the Magic Millions . I finally found the one that ticked all the boxes .  A strong athletic horse he has that X Factor quality when you see him walk . His mother , a daughter of Zabeel was a multiple city winning mare and has already made a significant impact since retiring to the breeding barn . From only four foals she has produced two black type winners including the quality staying prospect King Diamond .

The stallion was Champion two year old colt in France and is a grandson of the great sire of sires Danehill . This horse should be a late two year old type and I was thrilled to secure him for $70,000 plus the GST . Please click on the External URL link below to view the full pedigree and video and then call Steve Leoni on 0433 110335 to discuss securing your share .

Mutawaajid x Desert Slew 1 year old Bay Filly

Mutawaajid x Desert Slew

This horse screams runner . Great athletic walker she impressed me during my sales inspections . Her sire a son of the great Redoutes Choice was up and winning at two and this filly gives me the feeling she will be up and about as a two year old . Mutawaajids first crop of yearlings have been well received and  have fetched decent money. Two of his most expensive purchases were made by Peter Moody , both for over $50,000.

I feel this filly represents great value and she will be aimed at the $100,000 Autumn Plate Sales race. The family is packed with winners and is still very active which will help protect her residual value

Dash For Cash x Misura 1 year old Bay Colt

Dash For Cash x Misura

Secured this colt for an absolute bargain price . Good strong son of Dash For Cash and  just take a look at the page . His dam is a daughter of the great broodmare sire Encosta De Lago and was a winner herself . She is a half sister to Bank Robber and Kwassa Kwassa and the page would not have looked out of place at the Premier Sale . He looks like he will get up and run at two and I will be targetting the $100,000 Autumn Plate Sales Race with him .

Regal Saga x Rory's Jester 1 year old Bay Filly

Regal Saga x Rory's Jester

By Tale of the Cat (USA), Real Saga was the standout 2YO racehorse of his generation and finished his 2YO season by being the equal highest rated Timeform 2YO colt of the last 10 years (123 equal with Sebring, Meurice and Charge Forward).

He did this with only a six-start racing career that began with an effortless win in the Listed Breeders Plate. Another effortless 1000m win was followed by a commanding victory in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude bolting in by three lengths over Reward For Effort (2nd) and six lengths over Starspangledbanner (3rd).

He was then the desperately unlucky runner up as favourite in the Group 1 Blue Diamond. Sydney 2YO riches beckoned and Real Saga handled the change of going with ease by emphatically winning the Group 2 Todman Slipper Trial before his only unplaced finish - a close up fourth as favourite on a heavy 10 in the Group 1 Golden Slipper.

Possessing a blistering turn of foot, he was clearly dominant in his victories against classy opposition and looks to have stamped his first crop of yearlings with all his attributes.

By Rory's Jester, Rosaria was a 2YO winner and is a three-quarter sister to Blue Diamond Prelude winner Rosa's Image. A winner on debut, Rosaria then ran Purrealist within a neck in one of two city placed runs as a 2YO.

A speedy on-pace filly she was retired to the breeding barn after her five-start 2YO season and her first one foal (ex Freeze) with Gerald Ryan in Sydney has shown similar 2YO speed.

From the Thunder Gulch mare Rosa Nilda - a producer of two runners for two winners - Rosaria is also a three-quarter sister to 2YO Listed winner and Group 2 Black Opal runner-up Rosa's Path and Group 3 winner Rosa's Joy (herself a Group 3 producer).

Real Saga filly

Luke Oliver "This was my favourite filly at the Magic Millions Sale. We inspected a lot of first-season sires and the progeny of Real Saga were the standout early-running types. This filly is by a 2YO winning Rory's Jester mare who won on debut and ran Purrealist within a neck at her second start. The filly she's produced here is a real dynamo, she's an early September foal and is just built to be a runner - her type and temperament mean you could put a saddle on her now. The first foal is with Gerald Ryan and he's a big wrap for her. She's just a lovely filly who'll we get up and running quickly and all these factors combine to give us a chance at returning for the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic in 12 months time"

Artie Schiller x Terse Verse 2 year old Bay or Brown Filly

Artie Schiller x Terse Verse

By the stallion of the moment Artie Schiller I am delighted to be training this filly . I love training horses who are products of city winning mares and this filly fits the profile . Her mother was a multiple city winning mare including on her debut .

This horse is ready to head to the breakers having been given plenty of time to mature . I have another member of the family in the yard and he shows us plenty of ability and with the quality  that Artie Schiller stamps into his stock I would have no hesitation in recommending this horse . Only three shares remain so I would advise you move quick . For further details please contact Steve Leoni on 0433 110335.

Dane Shadow x Kiss Me Sophie 1 year old Bay Colt

Dane Shadow x Kiss Me Sophie

By Danehill, Dane Shadow had a 13 starts career where never racing outside of Group company. Incredibly, he finished 2nd on debut in the Group 2 Silver Slipper before again finishing 2nd in the Group 2 Todman Stakes (behind Charge Forward). Another 2nd placing behind Fastnet Rock in his second start as a 3YO was followed by his first win in the Group 3 Ming Dynasty. A series of Group placings as a 2YO and 3YO, Dane Shadow competed with the best in the Golden Slipper, Caulfield Guineas, Lightning Stakes and Australia Stakes before being retired to Stud.

Despite covering only a handful of mares in his first season, Dane Shadow's first crop included Group 1 winner's Shellscrape (2010 Galaxy) and Hurtle Myrtle (2011 Myer Classic). His mare coverings have since increase - along with his service fee - particularly since he has become the Timeform highest rated stallion in Australiasia ahead of more credentialed stallions Redoute's Choice, Fastnet Rock and others.

In addition to his two Group 1 winners Hurtle Myrtle and Shellscrape, Dane Shadow is also the sire of South Australian Derby winner Shadows In The Sun, Listed winner and Group 1 placegetter Red Tracer and Group 3 winner Turnitup

By Strategic, Kiss Me Sophie is a full-sister to Group 1 winner Mistegic who won six races (all at Group and Listed level) and over $1.7 million in prizemoney as well as the 11-time winner Rightson.

Mistegic was a phenomenal racehorse having all 32 of his starts in Group & Listed races. He trumpied in AJC Group 1 Galaxy and MVRC Group 2 Schweppes Stakes but was placed in five Group 1s including the Lightning Stakes (twice), Newmarket Handicap, Oakleigh Plate and Manikato. He also travelled to Hong Kong to only be beaten 3 lengths in the Group 1 Hong Kong Sprint.
A career that began as a September 2YO and concluded as a 6YO, Mistegic was one of the great sprinters of the modern era and the most competitive and durable racehorses in memory.

Kiss Me Sophie descends from the Volcanic Prince mare Volanic Mist who herself was a city winner over 1100m and twice placed at Listed level.

Luke Oliver"A cracking colt by an under-rated stallion in Dane Shadow which was a standout colt of those paraded here at the Sales. He's a nice, compact type that looks a 2YO runner and is strong enough to handle an early preparation. The Dam is a full-sister to the Group 1 winner Mistegic who was one of my favourites racehorses (a 2YO winner herself) as well as Rightson who won a stack of races up in Sydney. Dane Shadow sired Group 1 winners Hurtle Myrtle and Shellscrape from a limited first crop of mares so with the strength of the Dam side pedigree here I cannot wait to get this colt to Caulfield!"

Testa Rossa x Raise 1 year old Bay Colt

Testa Rossa x Raise

The dearest horse I have ever purchased and I did so without any hesitation .A magnificent son of Testa Rossa he was top of my Easter Yearling shopping list .From a stallion who just produces city class horses he is out of tough race mare Raise who won the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes in 2008.Her dam was the multiple black type performer Boisterous who has also been prolific in the breeding barn . Raise is a full sister to AJC Australian Oaks winner Rena's Lady so the family is jam packed with class.

This colt is a strong muscular colt with immense strength in his shoulder . You will note when you view the video via the External url how well he uses himself when he walks . He will come into his own as a three year old and I was delighted when he was knocked down to me for $100,000 plus the GST.  He is a cracking type of horse and I am truly excited to have him in my stable . Please give Steve a call on 0433 110335 to discuss securing your share in this stunning colt.

Henny Hughes x Pawarna 1 year old Chestnut Colt

Henny Hughes x Pawarna
By Champion sire Hennessey, Henny Hughes was a stunning musculature chestnut colt with blistering pace who had an incredible 10 starts in America for 6 wins (5 at Group level including two Group 1s) and 3 second placings and winning over $1.5 million in prizemoney.

His American progeny are 128 starters for 78 winners and include 5 stakes winners the most impressive being She Digs Me (2c Henny Hughes - Stage Stop) who was an eight-length winner of the Group 3 Sapling Stakes.

He first shuttled to Australia in 2009 meaning his oldest Australian progeny are 2YOs yet his first runner - Lil Red Corvette - was Stakes placed on debut AND NOW AN IMPRESSIVE MOONEE VALLEY WINNER.

Having 2YO's with Peter Moody, Robert Smerdon and Lil Red Corvette with Mathew Ellerton at Flemington we're expecting to see great things from Henny Hughes progeny in the coming months.

By Golden Slipper winner in Tierce, Pawarna was city winner of three races from 1200m to 1600m. She is a half-sister to Streama - winner of the Group 2 Tea Rose and Furious Stakes last Spring - and the breathtaking winner of the Group 1 Flight Stakes by six lengths. One of seven winners from eight runners for the mare Pensiamo and she descends from a family that also includes Golden Slipper runner-up and Group 2 winner Decision Time.

Luke OliverThis colt we simply had to purchase based on type alone. He was the absolute standout colt we inspected being a big and strong chestnut and I was instantly taken by his presence. He has exceptional muscle tone for a young horse and he wouldn't look out of place in a 2YO or even 3YO race tomorrow. By Henny Hughes, a lesser known sire who was a great 2YO overseas. His oldest progeny are just 2YO's here in Australia but I've heard impressive things from both Peter Moody and Robert Smerdon about the 2YO's by Henny Hughes they have in their yards here at Caulfield. I expect he'll run early and being closely related to Streama and Decision Time gives him the pedigree to suggest he can compete with the best"
