Rosie goes bang on debut

May 08, 2018

Three winners in three days and the red hot run continues. I've just put on my lotto numbers as selected byAdam Meester the co owner of Shotgun Rosie . He paid just $1650.00 for this filly as a weanling and he has again unearthed a gem. He races Princess Arrow and Surprise Hero with the stable both of whom are also last start winners.Every horse he has raced to date with us has won , he selects everything himself  and it's a pretty special effort.

Back to Rosie and this was a dominant win on debut. She is a very highly strung filly and the concern was she may boil over race day . The work the team had done at Romsey in teaching her to relax paid dividends as she paraded like a lamb pre race. I can't keep telling you how wonderful Mr Mott is but he is and the ride was first class. The well backed favourite led with a three kilo kid riding , Jamie took a pull ,sat just off and said goodbye in the home straight . The margin was 1.25 lengths but could have been a deal more if she had been asked. The key now will be to keep her happy and relaxed , if we can then she will win plenty and I suggest at a decent level.

The results are incredible from the new property and the trainer is enjoying every day. Get involved if you can , the current crop of yearlings look as nice as any we have had. Not quite $1650.00 to buy but value enough that you don't need to win the lotto to get involved.
