Vivacity Scores A Well Deserved Victory
Jul 10, 2018
Vivacity picked up a well deserved win at Mildura on Monday, for her owners, Peter Cameron, Sally Cameron, and Dimitri Aretzis.
Since arriving at Kerrygail Farm, Vivacity had put together two very good seconds heading into yesterdays race. As a result, she was sent around a short priced favourite in the opening event at Mildura. With a typical smart Dean Yendall ride, Vivacity didn't let her supporters down and she broke through for her maiden victory, at only her fourth race start.
Vivacity is by one of Victoria's great sprinting stallions, Bel Esprit, who resides just up the road from Kerrygail Farm, at Sun Stud. Bel Esprit is an 8 time Champion Victorian Sire, and he has produced 24 stakes winners, including the legendary, Black Caviar. He continues to produce winner after winner, and we're certainly glad Vivacity is now one of them.
Princess Arrow was also able to pick up a placing later in the day for the Luke Oliver Racing team, finishing 3rd in race 6.
The successful trip to Mildura sets up what will hopefully be a big week for Luke Oliver Racing, with plenty of trials and races coming up. Next up is our Moonee Valley winning mare, High Sierra, who steps out at Sandown on Wednesday. She has been building nicely this preparation and she gets out to her right trip on Wednesday.
