Stable Quinella In The Last At Pakenham

Aug 23, 2018

Callisto Moon and Reigning In Paris brought up a stable quinella in the last race at Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Callisto Moon was at his best on Tuesday, after a very promising run at Geelong 11 days earlier.

With 61.5kg on his back, Jamie Mott had him in a perfect spot, camped off a strong speed. Callisto Moon strode up on the home turn and Jamie got him into the clear, in the middle of the track. He powered his way to the front inside the final 200m and drew away for a convincing win.

Reigning In Paris bounced back to form and ran home strongly for second, to bring up a stable quinella.

The Luke Oliver team had three other runners earlier in the day, who were also very competitive. Waltonia was only beaten 1.5 lengths in the first race, Key To The Mak did a lot wrong during the race and went down by only 0.2 of a length, while Guess Again fought on gallantly after doing a lot of work early to finish 1.25 lengths behind the winner.

The stable looks to be coming into some exciting times over the next few months, with plenty of horses looking like they’re close to a win, and with the emergence of some very exciting 2 year olds preparing to hit the track.
